What a turn-up! Miss Veronica Velkro voted
Queen of Pride 2006.
It all started with her leading the parade that was the
official start to Manchester Pride 2006 big weekend.
This saw her representing Via in The King and Queen
competition on the main stage. This she won against some
stiff competition from the likes of the infamous Duchess
Dickie!
But that was just the start of the story…
Veronica decided to celebrate in fine style, and so did a
tour of the gay venues, which saw her then following the
nationally famous Sandra on stage in Hollywood Studio &
Lounge performing an old Vice Girls routine, Bananarama’s ‘I
Want You Back’.
Unfortunately during this tour Veronica got very drunk, and
so woke up late on the Saturday morning. Late, as the main
prestige of winning the Queen of Pride was leading the main
parade through the streets of Manchester.
Running into Via she then proceeded to throw her make-up on.
‘Where is my transport to the start of the parade?” she
asked. There was none. So in her trainers and a floor length
luminous pink gown she ran through the streets of Manchester
to the start of the parade.
The hilarity of this didn’t escape Veronica, nor the many
passers by! So she decided to call Miss Clit and tell her of
her plight. It was during this tragedy that Veronica
realised there was something seriously amiss. Something
extremely important that she had forgotten.
Her bra.
Dear god. In front of thousands of people, Queen of
Manchester Pride Miss Veronica Velkro was going to be
bra-less.
Never fear, her trusted friend Miss Virgin Trains herself
Miss Iva Cockatoo shimmied to the rescue bringing bra and
chicken fillets to a very grateful Veronica.
Now the problem of where to put it on. And how! Veronica is
not the best at putting bras on!
